I have personally found that simply having a plate seems to add zero value although I still get the plate for every bike because in Oklahoma it is much easier to get the plate when you first register than try to go back and do it later. Perhaps the situation is different in different areas. I just don't think people in Oklahoma think about riding their dirt bike on the street, and most don't venture out of the area to places that require a plate.
