Congrats are in order I think, for conquering your long term fear on riding and for such a great choice on bikes.
If you're gonna be riding in any more deep puddles (
or lakes) maybe a suggestion would be to re-grease the suspension and other vital areas. These bikes are shipped with minimal amount of grease to start with.
Having the front end done (re-valved) is also a great idea. Money well spent IMO.
