What town? I work a little west of Newark. Drew never used to like drop offs, I'm not far and he still preferred UPS. Maybe things have changed.
I've become accustomed to a stiffer sprung bike. As long as it has good manners and does not deflect, Feeling the trail is fine. Flexxbars work great with a stiffer setup.
Did you do anything to protect the linkage? It looks like it hangs down, like mine and most new bikes. I got a skid and added a Delrin plate. I hit it all the time and tore the first HDPE plate I made half off. I would have destroyed the shock by now without it.
