Great story. My girlfriend and I were in Baja for two weeks (on the KTM 990ADV) and spent the last couple days with some friends that live just outside of town in probably the same gated comunity where you stayed. We did get to see some trucks and bikes pre run the course but we had to get back home the day before the race. Too bad we had to leave as I'm sure we would have seen your ridding out the back gate of the housing complex because the house we were staying at was right there.
Maybe next year if i'm back from South America?!?
