I've read somewhere that it is adviceable to routinely clean the oil screen on the FSE engine. Is it safe to just open the bottom oil sump cover and clean it? (After the oil is drained, of course).
There is nothing mentioned of this in the service manual. The workshop manual says 'clean' when you are reassembling the engine after a complete teardown. I don't do that very often
. There's no risk things fall apart when loosing the cover?
