I think our AMA West Nationals are 2.5 to 3 hour. The AA guys go 3
hours.

Our adult classes are Open, Vet, 30-39, Senior, 40-49, Super Senior 50-59 and Master. 60+.
"C" being beginner, "B" Intermediate and "A" being expert and then "AA" lighting fast.

I prefer the 2 hour events. It takes me a while to settle into pace. The extra 30 minutes seems to separate the men from the boys. If you cross the scoring transponder with....say 45 seconds to go, then you get another lap, which could turn into 2+ hour race.

Our courses vary from the minimum distance 5-7 miles to loops over 16 miles.

Our events are 2 days, kids on one day and adults on the next.

Kids classes are A,B&C as well with age groups.
AZ, AMA sanctioned events thru the AMRA are roughly the same and the same classes.
