Your impeller however looks like its made some contact. Is it as rough as it looks or does the picture make it look worse?
I'd clean them up a tad and check the clearances again with some grease/paint/marker and then see how it all looks.

Definitely been in contact. The photo makes the tops of the vanes look smoother than they are.
Think I will just sand them down until they are smooth again. Probably do it manually to avoid any overexcitement accidents with the dremmel
