If the piston looks OK, at least stick some new rings on it whilst you have the top off and give the crank a health check. Stick your finger down the end of the silencer and if it's very oily, repacking is easy and will give you extra benefits.

The Castrol 2T oil you are using is good quality and I have used it for a number of years without any problems.

Might be worth replacing the power bands, they can get a bit saggy over time.
