Ok, I just finished installing my 5009 bendix.

I pretty much did the same mod as pigpen, took a little off the bottom end of the shaft, and clearanced 1mm or so out of the inside of the cover. Took me about 10 minutes with a dremel. It works like a charm!
Now that I have done the mod, the 5009's will pop right in if I ever have an issue with this one.
