My 06 ec250 is plated, and I have done some DS rides with it, but it's just a little out of it's element. I find myself trying to keep it from opening the PV and that's just a little too slow on roads with the gearing I run. (13/51). I am changing chain and sprockets this winter during the rebuild and will try a 50T, so it might help a little. Bottom line, a 4t is a superior DS mount due to top speed and not having to mix gas at the gas station. That's why I bought a 400.
