(Little history here) When Husaberg Motor was formed in 1988 by some Husqvarna engineers that jump ship after the Italian company Cagiva, bought Husqvarna. Husaberg tried it on their own till Ktm purchased them in 1995.
Some good technical innovations were made by them and they're a super bike but I still would not trade my GG for them.
Bombardier has been messing with direct injection for two stroke for over a decade and has it pretty close as seen in some of the snowmobiles and water crafts.
I think it's the only way to go and will be the future for all. We'll just have to see who gets on board first.
Ossa has already started it on their Trials bike. But I think it will be Ktm that will start it off big (since they have the biggest R&D budget) and the rest will follow.
