Where exactly will you be moving, gasser? Clinton...Elk City? That far west there really is little to come by except for motocross tracks. Oklahoma definitely gets pegged with the stereotype of being flat - and in most areas it is pretty flat - but we actually have a huge variety of terrain here with two mountain ranges (stumpy but full of rocks ).

Oklahoma in general has a great variety of trails and riding areas available. We have everything from sand dunes (Little Sahara...mostly a quad playground) to the Choctaw Nation Trail (all of the rocks, boulders, creeks and hill climbs you could want). In between those two extremes are places like the Stillwater 500 and Draper ORV that have trails that have single track. Davis is very rocky with lots of embedded rocks and elevation change. Stillwater is my personal favorite because it has a little bit of everything.

Unless you plan to work on actual rigs themselves, there are lots and lots of oilfield jobs out of the Oklahoma City area which would get you within a shorter range of a lot more riding areas. My husband works for an oilfield service company and he works out of Yukon, OK.
