Yeah, I'm familiar with how mineral oil is hydrophobic and the problems it can create. Luckily, I live in one of the driest places in the USA so I'm not overly worried. Regular servicing should make it last.

Anyway, I couldn't find a kit that I for sure knew would work so I went ahead and ordered a new master from CPD Direct. Should be here early next week.

That said, the price of a little 4oz bottle of mineral oil is ridiculous. I paid over $10 for that little bottle after I finally found a place that had some in stock. I've read where non-scented baby oil can be used, as it is a mineral oil, with good results. I know it is a helluva lot cheaper and readily available. Anyone ever use it?
