Running in rocks - set your air pressure higher to avoid pinch flats.

To avoid pinch flats - I run honda flat-proof. Besides stopping small leaks - it lubricates the inside of the tube to prevent pinch flats. Pinch the tube between your fingers and try to slide it past itself without any flat-proof in it - you will see what I mean.

I also prefer to use a lighter but good quality tube like the michelin air-stop tubes that come on the bike stock. I prefer not to use a really heavy tube - they can weigh 2-3 pounds more than the stock tube and I notice the weight when throwing the bike into a corner. (gyro effect of the extra weight).

And you would want to replace the stock rim locks with motion pro rim locks while you are at it...
