76mm was about as big as I could go on the GG 300 cylinder. It was really close and did not leave much margin between new bore and the inner head o-ring groove. Here is some more info on it. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/751...s#entry7882216
I spoke with that guy that put the 250 cylinder on the 200. As I recall he said he had to cut the base of the cylinder about 1mm. I set a 250 cylinder on a 200 one time and took a photo. I lost my measurement but as I recall the piston was about 0.04 to 0.045 low in the hole at TDC. |
Thanks for the information. He didn't tell me that he had to cut the base of the cylinder for the 200/225 conversion.
Oh yeah. I had forgotten that the head had to be built up and milled to fit the 274cc job. That was done in my project bike, also.
