You will need to clearance the bottom of the piston to clear the cases and to match the case transfer port side windows. You will also need to cut down the power valve to clear. Last but not least you will need to weld and recut the head. http://www.eddie-sanders-racing.com/...ston-kits-.htm

76mm was about as big as I could go on the GG 300 cylinder. It was really close and did not leave much margin between new bore and the inner head o-ring groove. Here is some more info on it. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/751...s#entry7882216

I spoke with that guy that put the 250 cylinder on the 200. As I recall he said he had to cut the base of the cylinder about 1mm. I set a 250 cylinder on a 200 one time and took a photo. I lost my measurement but as I recall the piston was about 0.04 to 0.045 low in the hole at TDC.

Thanks for the information. He didn't tell me that he had to cut the base of the cylinder for the 200/225 conversion.

Oh yeah. I had forgotten that the head had to be built up and milled to fit the 274cc job. That was done in my project bike, also.

Good Riding!
Jim
