Weird problem and can't get rid of it despite using 2 different anti spy ware/malware removers and virus protection/removers

So I go to do a Google search of something I want and as usual the whole list of possibilities comes up (this is normal) Now I click on a choice that looks good which should bring me to that web page (like when my Google was working ok) but now it always brings up some random add or bizarre web site (no porn thank god) which often times I can't back out of unless I exit out of IE completely or click the back arrow repeatedly and sometimes it will release and go back to Google or further back even to previous pages.

I have found a silly way around this by first clicking on my choice of a site I want to see and then I have to click the red stop X box in the top tool bar BEFORE the add page can load and pop up, then I click the back arrow on the toolbar to go back to the Google search page and then click on my choice once again and repeat this crazy stop, back, search process 2 times and on the 3rd try the proper page will finally load. This stupid 3 step process will almost always bring up the proper page I'm looking for but I shouldn't have to do that in the first place.

.......how can I fix this it's driving me nuts????
