It's a laptop BTW
Other than this problem the system is working pretty much just fine despite a bunch of power outages over the winter months. My background is in computer and laser printer hardware (network, apps, and OS stuff drives me crazy) but this one is pissing me off
There is no reason to have to pay for any of these fancy programs like Norton, Macafee etc. Plenty of excellent freeware out there and I usually get it from the C-Net web site as I know it's safe and tested by tons of users.
Keep the ideas coming and the winner gets some free beer money
