Default Project TC2 shorty!

Hey guys seemed to be a fair amount of interest in how the q stealth I have that's shortened will work out and sound so I thought I'd go ahead and cut up my tc2 tomorrow and see what happens with that! Boy she was a mess when I took her apart tonight at only a year old. Yikes! You need to get on the pipe more ... or quit running high-flash-point oil

They all look like that in no time. Its the Krizman/turbine that just slows everything down and separates the oil mist from the exhaust flow, and the mounting angle traps it in the can. A straight silencer will be very clean by comparison.

I just did this, I cut the rear section off containing the turbine & re attatched the end cap. I just made it a straight core, like a FMF powercore. It barks harder, but I have not put it on for a ride yet. I had nothing to loose because my old tc2 was held together with some sheet metal screws anyway haha. I have a repacked tc2 I just bought from here on the forum to use when I need spark arrestor/stealth mode.

I'm trying to keep the turbine in there on this one. Wanted to keep it the same just shorter and a re-pack

That was my plan to start with, but it was late and the sawzall got a little wild. I ride a lot at privately owned land/tracks & that would be where my shorty got used. I'm blessed with a lot of good riding areas & hope it stays that way, quiet is a good thing most of the time. I kept the same length core so it has just as much packing as before, it is just louder because it's straight through. It sounded quieter than my RM250 used to, and way quieter than a thumper with a race pipe. With a fresh packed tc2 I had to scream at racers to pass because reving it up didn't work. Afterward they said they never heard my bike at all.

Cool, never had mine open, just received some packing. Just curious, does that turbine spin or does it just spin the exhaust?
