Thumbs up New to me 99 ec 200

Well here's my new to me bike I picked up for cheap. Got it running fairly easily (had sat for a couple of years). Now I'm just in the process of tracking down plastics, headlight and a seat or seat foam. Look forward to sharing the progress with you guys. The fourm has been a ton of help so far figuring everything out.

Your shrouds will be the hardest to find. Rear plastics you can get white and black kx250 94-98. Front you can put on most things.

Seat foam go with guts racing. Very comfortable.

Thanks for the input! I'm just waiting on pricing for a full set of plastics. my local gas gas dealers rep Said he could get them. If it's too much I'll definitly go with the kx plastics. With the guts racing is there any differnce between the 2000 and 2001 foam? I emailed them and got a reply something to the effect of they wernt sure if it would work with my seat base.

You're going to love that bike when you get if fixed up. Just be patient when looking for parts. They're out there, you just have to think/look outside the box sometimes.

She is a little rough around the edges but that will be a fun project and you will have a great bike when you are finished!

Well if you can get new shrouds let me know where they're coming from. I've looked for months. We have the same style.

As far as foam it cuts easily with an electric knife. I'd take a shot with the 2000 guts.

Alright, I'll keep you posted on the plastics situation. I know motocross center has them but cad to euro is a little too steep price wise lol. I'll see if anyone one here has any photos and experience with the guts racing before I pull the trigger. Got to take her for a little bit of a ride yesterday. Gotta say wow what a smooth engine! I was riding a 13 crf250 before this and the transitiion isn't nearly as bad as I would have thought.

Congrads on the bike. I just picked up a 03 ec 250 and am also looking for a source for some plastics. I'll be following your thread. That bike doesnt look bad at all, just rear plastics is most of what I see so at least you started with something solid.

I know they are on the website but they are on backorder. And not available anytime soon.

I've had a guts seat on an older dual sport. I got a tall-soft. Was great.

My current dual sport will be getting one as well.
