Sub or Top mount
I saw the poll that had the Scott's damper at the top of the list for the most used. Then I read the responses concerning the lack of sub mounts without having to purchase an entire top clamp assembly.
It really got me wondering, how many would actually switch from the top bar setup to a sub mount setup [retaining the stock triple clamp] were one available?

I did just that, I use the std triple clamps and mount the Scott under the bars with the help of a home-milled bracket. No big deal, provided you have access to a milling machine.

This is exactly what I have done with both of my GG'ers . It utilizes the #3/4 bar positions which seem to be the most popular anyway. I am 5'10" and prefer the #3 position with a low KTM bar clamp. I have access to make them [I had to pay for the 3D program] if there is enough interest to keep the cost reasonable/competitive. I had them made from 6061 and it is a bit taller than the similar mounts that were on the market which allows for the use of a fat bar while retaining the ability to remove the damper easily without having to raise the bars too high for us normal height challenged guys.

I would definitely had been interested but decided to go a different route and got my Motosportz damper this weekend.
On a side note while I was looking into a Scotts Sub-Mount I did come across these guys that make a universal mount. It seems like a great concept. I would definitely like to purchase their C-Clamp Bar End Mounts but they only have Orange and Gold ones in stock...... Might be worth checking out. http://store.gatosbros.com/universal...mount-350.html

Nice mount and concept, but much higher expense.

No way, I'm sold on RTT. Nice left hand thumb adjuster to increase or decrease dampning. Built into the triple clamp, plus it raises the bars a bit on the Gasser's also has a forward and rearward handlebar mounts. Plus Plus it adds alot of bling to the bike, red anodized triple clamps. Hmmmmm! Change the oil once a year, good to go!

It really comes down to how high you like your bars. I tried a sub and hated it, because I like low bars I can get over. Tall bars feel nasty in tight technical stuff and gave me a lot of strange arm problems I never had before. Seems like tall bars/mounts/sub mounts were the rage for awhile, and now you see even the tall fast guys with low bars.

I prefer the sub mount. I have always found a taller bar setup more comfortable for me. Every time I ride a bike with a shorter setup I feel very hunched over and don't like it at all. To each their own.
