Default Checking my Rekluse 3.0 after 140-ish hours

I like to check the bike over after each race.

After last weekends' rock-fest race with lots of clutch-slipping Rekluse-testing hills and rocks, I decided I would focus on the clutch basket this time around.

I sent an email to Rekluse to get the minimums.

They sent,
Quote:
Min on the EXP disc is 10.57mm
Steels should measure ? 1.5mm, with the one in the bottom of the clutch measuring 1.0mm

The min for the frictions are whatever Gas Gas calls out as a min.
My EXP3.0 disk measures 10.9mm so that is good. It dropped about .5mm over the last couple of years since my previous measurement. Good for another year or so.

The odd thing is that all of my steels measure 1.05mm. There is no "thinner disk," they are all the same.

As well, my clutch fibers measure 3.05mm. Nothing close to the,
"2.75mm to 2.85mm (min 2.68mm)" as stated in the manual.

I'm guessing (I can't recall) that the the "all-1mm" steels were some special Rekluse solution for the Gasser. And, perhaps, the Rekluse fibers are thicker than OEM?

I have an email into Rekluse.

Now I remember.

I got the "Honda Frictions Mod."

Thicker fibers and all the steels are the thin ones.

All good.

I did that mod too, I have the specs on a piece of paper stored with my stock gasser clutch parts. I will take a look at it when I get home because I wrote the measurements for the Rekluse made steels and fibers.

Is the cr mod for the Rekluse only or are there any other benefits?

I am still on my oem disks at about 300hrs and apart from the oem clutch squeak (not changed from new) all is fine. I just bought a 2013 clutch cover hoping it will add some oil to the center

In North America the CR fiber discs are 1/3 of the price of oem Gasser fibers and there are a greater selection on disc types and mfgs.

Having measured and checked everything, I have bolted it up.

Time to put new nubbies for next week's race.

Just picked up a used rekluse for my 12, ec300. What CR friction plates and steels are you using? Since it's used I rather just put CR mod in and not worry.

Any part numbers of each?
