Default OK, I'm confused.

Why does ggor.com call my bike an XC 300, and the stickers say EC 300? No biggie. Just wonderin'.

The model is an EC(endurocross), thats what it is made as at the factory.
The name XC is what they are called in the states when they have no lights, signals or a computer, its to get around some red tape, I think.

Here is some history on GG bikes in the US:
http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6427

The US specific bikes have been labeled various things over the years (XC, DE, EC). The current XC is like noobi describes. I believe the 2011 XC bikes still have the heavier ignition (2K-3) of the standard EC bike. If you bought a lighting kit, it would be plug-n-play.

Here is discussion on the 2K-3 (heavier ignition) vs. 2K-2 (lighter ignition). If you look at how the wire exits the ignition cover, then you will know which type that you have.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I'm a GG newbie so I'll be asking plenty of already-answered, stupid questions.

Keeping in mind that the output is AC. That could be different on the e-start models.

No our EC's are the rest of the worlds XC. We don't get the blinkers, horn, tail light etc. So look at it as an XC that's called an EC over here (USA/NA). They don't send XC's over here they are EC's without street legal parts if that makes sence. BTW I am new to GG too and I asked the same questions before my first purchase a few months ago. So no we don't get an EC and an XC only the EC, Six Days, and Race versions. Oh.... we also get the Nambotin!

Thats interesting. I personally prefer the 250 with the lighter ignition and the 300 with the heavier one.

I pulled my 250 out of the crate and took it to EE the next day. I didnt even look to see what ignition I have.
