Default Who is from the Old Country????

I was thinking there is like 4,200+ members here now.

I can't remember when the Smackover site was shut down and we migrated over here????

I was thinking...are you from the old country??? Meaning Smackover Forum days??

I joined the Smackover Forum sometime in 1999? (I think) when I was looking to buy my first and only GasGas.

Who else is still around from those early days?

I joined Smackover in 2002. The bikes just started showing up in our area at that time.

2000. I bought my '03 from Jim. It was sad to see him close the doors.

My friend and me bought '03s from Jim as well. We were close enough to drive down and pick them up. Jim "The first ride's free" Cook had some demo bikes at the 2003 WUDI ride which was my first experience with the brand. The handling and suspension was so much better than the '00 KTM I was on that I knew what my next bike would be. I'm now waiting for EFI/DFI models to come out.

I've got a "Forget the whales save the 2 strokes" Smackover T shirt. . .but he was pretty much giving them away when closing down.

I first raced GasGas in 1994, and have been a fan ever since, and was part of the Smackover forum group too.

Joined Smackover in '00 or '01. Sent him a few $$ for sweet parts that I still have on my bike. Probably way underpaid if you add in all the good advice and conversations I had with him.

I joined the Smackover forum before or just after I bought an almost new 99ec200. That forum and now this one has been a big part of my day ever since. These two forums have helped get me through some very lonely days in the middle east before I retired and some very boring days since. My thanks go out to Jim and you folks who put your time into this forum it helps others in ways you couldn't even know.

I used to buy parts from Jim and his son (I forget his name) when I got my bike.
