Closed cartridge Oil weight changes
Hi all.
I am having real trouble finding some straight answers on the net for this. What is the result on a fork action if I am to change the weight of the closed cartridge oil? If I go to a lighter weight oil does that soften compression and speed up rebound? I have changed the outer chamber oil weight from 7.5wt to 3wt and have noticed a softer fork action but less bottoming resistance. Would it be beneficial to change the outer weight to 5wt and the cartridge weight from 7.5 to 5wt also? I am hoping to achieve a similar fork action with slightly better bottoming resistance. Thanks |

In that case I would keep the oil weight as you have it now and add some oil to the outer chamber.
