No.The terrain looks like what I'm used to riding.

Great footage. Where's the rocks !? lol
I've been almost like that spode in the red having Rich or Russell go by me like I was skidding a log out of the woods. A foot of new snow here yesterday too. 1st race is this Sunday. I'm going ice fishing. |

That looks a lot like the more open sections of southern New Jersey, before the topsoil is gone and the sand underneath gets whooped out.

Can they X-ray see around the next bend or are their balls just that much bigger than mine ? I'm always amazed at how soon they're back on the gas...if they have even bothered to let off going in. LOL ! |

What I find is the super tight stuff down there is the great equalizer. I don't loose much more time than guys that are a lot faster than me overall, and I like it as long as its not stupid (like can't fit your shoulders through). The fast guys just don't miss an opportunity to get back on the gas, no matter how short of a straightaway. Another thing Brian is a rock setup does nothing to inspire confidence in going fast in the medium to high speed sections of whoops and chop. I use my fork travel up fast, then the bike gets twitchy, add sand and you have a challenge. Before last years Sandy Lane, I added more mid-valve damping to my fork. The bike worked great in the sand, but back at home in the rocks it was more harsh and less planted. In fact it may have contributed to my big crash up in Hancock now that I think about it.

Yah, I went to Sandy Lane last year with my rock setup. I knifed it in a few of the sand berms and I let a few guys past in the big whoops. All I could do was double them. Guys went by me WFO and just skimming the tops.
We've got no whoops here. I'd need to go to a track somewhere to practice them. |
