Default Shocking....just shocking!

I was just down at my friendly GasGas dealer and there was a gentleman down there, killin' time like me, who is an A rider, might be AA, not sure. He has ridden the past 4 or 5 ISDEs, one of the top riders in the area. Anyhoo, we were talking, I hadn't seen him in awhile and I asked what he was riding.
He said he was on a 12 KTM 350. He said it was in the shop for like 6, yes 6, SIX recalls! One of the recalls is bad crank bearings and they have to split the cases. I told him he needs to be riding a GG and he could not say enough about the 12 model GG's. He kept saying it was the best looking bike on the market.

Anyway, I just can't believe how the masses swarm to buy the orange bike with all the different problems that they have year after year.

My son tried the pumpkins twice with no mechanical issues but the traction, headshake, and off for us ergo's was enough to let him/us know that all though good looking bikes they are an aquired taste. We now have GG, Husky, and TM .

EFI issues (pump, injector) with a few 350s here in ZonieLand. Other things as well.

A friend on mine had a 11' 350sxf. Piston hit the head and bent a valve. Twice, the second time was when he was running it in after the first warrantied rebuild
He sold it and got a 300XC at cost.

The 2011 350 had a bearing issue in the transmission as well. It made the motor lock solid while riding. The 250 guys were all have efi troubles as well. 2011 was not the year to own a KTM 4 stroke.

Yeah, the 03 200 I had never really had any problems, I just couldn't come to grips with the suspension. It had the stock spark plug in it when I sold it in 06. But then again my 06 GG had the stock plug in it when I sold it last year too.

Yeah, the 350's are fun to ride, but I would not want to own one. I did have a 320 kitted SXF and it was rock solid. What a great motor it had.

We had two such kitted KTMs here. Might have been 2008 vintage. The racers were very happy with them and were sad to let them go.
