freshin up ec 300

I just traded for a 08 ec 300 that needs some work I am going to put a new top end on it I seen the cylinder is marked A but I dont have it took apart yet. Will it be a safe bet to go ahead with the A piston or should I wait untill i get it apart and do some mesuring. Also may have the squish band worked on also the bike has plenty of power just not alot down low but dont want to run race fuel. I have to buddies that can mill my head. I was going to go with the wossner piston so should I wait until i get the new piston in to check the squish or will it be the same as stock. Thanks in Advance
