Default 2001 ec200 Rod Bearing Kit

I have seen posts stating that the CR250R Rod Kits will fit GG Bikes.

Can I get you guys to confirm that for my 2001 ec200, a 19XX-XX CR250R Rod Kit will fit my engine?

Well, Pro-X does not list the 200 on their site at all, so that is not a good sign.

The 200 has a shorter stroke. So the CR 250 rod won't work.

Any reason why you can't go with the Gas Gas rod?

No, i tried to call gofasters today to find out what one would cost, they didn't answer, but like most everything else with the gas gas name on it, i am afraid its gonna be expensive.

So i was just trying to find a cheaper more readily available route to the same goal.

My parts manifest(07) lists the 200 and 250/300 as having the same part number for the rod kit, ME25612100, so my logic tells me that means their the same, thus if a CR rod fits the 250/300 then it will fit the 200 also.
I guess the different stroke must be in the crank not the rod.

The parts bbooklet that came with my 2001 lists a rod kit for a 200 but does not list one for a 250 or 300. Unless that means it shares the same one.

Its the same part number as you listed.

ME25612100

Man. This is an old thread and I'm not sure how I didn't see this. But I wanted to post my results. If I remember correctly I ended up using the CR250R rod and a Artic Cat or Polaris 200cc piston kit.

CR250 Rod kit definitely fit my 2001 200XC. Also I used a Wossner piston.
