GG 300 Race with full TTX
I just had my forks upgraded with TTX22 inserts. My suspension "guru" ended to put .46 springs in. I just could'nt get those Zokes to act like I would like them to act. My bike was equipped with TTX44 shock allready. I had 50 spring in it. I'm going to change 52 rear shock spring, because 50 seems to be too soft to my use. I'm racing Finnish GNCC series in A/B/C +40 veteran class.
Hope to get chance to test my new forks this week. Annoyingly my both wrists are not recovered from injury that I got during Around Lake Paijanne winter enduro about month ago. Still hurts to ride or race, but I'm trying my best.

Good luck on the wrists, those consistently are my weak point and the one consistent item I never seem to put on. not by any means a brace, but you might want to do some reading on the new design EVS wrister glove. I am ordering some within the next week see how they work. One thing I have never found myself do is ride without my gloves, so i think the wristers will be the key to making sure I have something there to help out as knowing myself, I'm inclined to "not" put on certain gear at times for whatever reason.........you just get complacent at times you know? I now wear an EVS ballistic only, as it was the only way I could insure I had the chest, elbows and my kidney brace on, but I still find myself making snap decisions and finding myself in the woods without my knee guards!

What problems did you have with the the 48mm Zokes? I've got a few hrs on my 12 and I think they are really good for the riding in my area.

Well I think they could have been good if they have been revalved second time. Stockers were hard, but bottomed easily. Got them revalved and tuned and they were softer and worked better, but still bottomed almost the same way.
About 10 hours after service and revalving right forks rebound clicker (that didn't "click" before revalving att all) was dead again. I got good deal from our ?hlins specialist. Other reason is that we don't have so many Marzzochi 48 tuners here in Finland. Sending overseas during race season was not an option either. About my wrists. I use EVS wrist brace. They are good. The only problem is that I got some damage to my thumbs too. But No pain - No game Next time I'll try to choose my line better...

Cool. Let us know how you like the TTX's once you get them valved and dialed for your liking.

What spring rate did you go for with the forks??
I have just fitted the TTX inserts into my Sachs legs (2010 Race) with a set of .46 springs. Also upgrading the Ohlins 888 to a TTX44 shock with a 5.4 weight spring. |
