Default Joing the club for 15

I have been dreaming of replacing my CR250 with a Gasgas for a few years now, and just took advantage of a smokin' deal on a leftover 14 at a dealer that is dropping the brand.
I have never even stood beside one before last week, so my exposure to Gasgas has only been from reading online, and videos. Pretty stoked to ride this thing, and learn about it as I go!
I ride tight, steep, and technical woods with some hill climbing, and alpine exploring mixed in. Ive done my best to convert my CR for the woods, but this new bike should fit the bill alot better. All I plan to do before spring, is add some full wrap hand guards, my favorite bend of fatbars, and a pipe guard.

Anyways, this site will be a great resource for me. I look forward to diving into the Gasgas world! It will be awesome to have this site as a resource.

Dan

Nice bike, you will enjoy it specially in the wood. The gas gas is a real Enduro!

I went from a fully converted kx250 to a gg and i think you will also be asking yourself why you didn't do it sooner (especially when you are lugging up steep loose climbs that would have had you kicking legs out in all directions on the CR)

Although there will be times you will miss the fun factor that comes with a 2t mxer

Grease all the linkage, swing arm and steering head before you ride it. Then enjoy the ride.

I came off an 01 CR250 that I thought was the greatest bike ever made. Now I often wonder how in the hell I ever rode that thing in the woods. The big explosive hit was fun but very unproductive when trying to ride in the woods. And the aluminum frame was just way too stiff! Don't get me wrong I still have the old girl sitting in the garage but it hasn't even been started since I got my first gasser a year ago. Congrats on the new bike you will love it. The frame geometry and seating position is very Honda like so it should be a pretty easy transition for you

Thats good news, I always liked the basic feel of the Honda's. I did gravitate to the Gasser for it's low seat height as well.

Here's a couple pics of my "back yard", alot of this stuff is a 5 minute ride from my house. We have access to endless old exploration cutlines and roads, some massive alpine ridges, open pine forest, and we build our own tight single track on the mountainsides.
