Default First ride on EC300!

Finally got the time to ride my 2007 EC 300. Fantastic bike! Everything on the bike was great but if I had to choose the best attribute it would be the motor. Shocking amount of torque and seems to lug to practically 0 rpm with no problem. So much better than my 4T which detonates and/or stalls if lugged much below idle. Flipped the ignition switch to "sun" and it turns into a wheelie machine.

Handling is spot on. The light weight and relatively low CG were immediately noticeable. Suspension was set up for desert so it was a little hard for the technical/woods riding I do but still very usable.

Bike ran good but I still went ahead installed an LTR jetting kit. Installation was a joy as there's no need disassemble the bike to work on the carb like I have to do on the 4T.

A few pics from first ride on EC 300

Start - nice bike, didn't stay that way for long

Middle - best bike I've ever ridden

End - Didn't look that deep! Took 3 guys to get it out.

Default Second ride...

Went to 51 T rear sprocket, LTR jetting, number plate tool bag. Backed off all the clickers 1 click. Jetting changes seemed to make off idle a little worse, everything else better. Cannot get the air screw to have any effect with stock or LTR jetting. Motor and handling are still awe-inspiring.

Rear suspension is still a little stiff for my riding.I've backed off the rear preload one turn (increased sag by 3/16"). I'll see how that works Saturday.
Next activity is getting the speedo hooked up. Looks like a mess. No accurate schematic or instructions in the manual or on this site.

Concerning the air screw adjustability, I had the same issues with the stock and LTR jetting until I put in a #8 slide. Really changed the off idle response and dual map and air screw sensitivity
