Default Help Please!

I bought a used 2010 ec250 this year. I sent to forks out to get set up. I just heard back that the forks are no good. tubes crushed from clamps and everything inside was over tighten and is striped. looked a $1100 just in parts that gasgas does not have.Anyone have any ideas or forks for sale.

robicon,

Actually your in a better position than Brent, as you have the Sachs, right? You should be able to use your clamps with a KYB swap. Do a search there ware a few discussions including fork sizes, etc. I would do that for sure, you will end up with better suspension than OEM.

I agree with Glenn. Much better to start with clamps that are closer to the right size. I can tell you even with a bored out lower ,I have pounded the snot out of the front end, and it is holding up so far. Knock on wood.

I would not hesitate in the least to invest some time and money into a KYB, WP, or Showa. Parts, service, etc are easy to find and the internet is full of help.

Ya thanks guys I was thinking a swap would be best. I will do a search hopefully I can come up with something that won't brake the bank.
