Dunno I only have an IMS. It's better than the standard GG one in my opinion but don't know how it stacks up against Clarke.

Why it's better than stock is that it has a wide filler and the mounts for the plastics use bolts into metal inserts in the tank not wood screws into plastic. The downside to the tank is it requires removal to change carb jetting as you can no longer rotate the carb with the tank in place.

thanks alot man! I love the idea of having real fasteners, that may be the deciding factor for me.

I have had both brands on different bikes over the years. I have always been happier with Clarke. The Clarke fit better, best ergos with decent capacity, and no issues.

does anyone know? I was leaning towards the ims for this very reason but its out of stock and 3-4 weeks out. I'm sure I could find a clarke but if it's got the same cheesy fastener type as the stocker ill wait on the ims...
