Fork oil and height
I just bought a nice low hour 2000 250 MC with WP 43mm forks to have a winter time toy to play with. I am interested in getting a valving kit to make them more plush for woods riding, but for this thread I am interested in the amount of oil to use since I am going to service them. I plan to use 5 weight oil and I would like to know if anyone has the oil height information for these forks.
They feel very soft, but they seem harsh on small chop and they deflect pretty bad from side to side. After coming home from the first trip out, I discovered that one of the fork bleeder valves was leaking. That could be the deflection problem answered, but I won't know until I can take it back out. I replaced both fork bleeder valves today. Thanks, JCW |
