wiring for ac and dc
Ok guys,
I have done most of the wiring for the capacitor to regulator/rectifier. The hid setup is a straight plug and play unit that plugs into the original light 3 pin plug. I am leaning towards the floating ground technique as there are grounds right the electrical system. My dilemma is that (from looking at the wiring diagram), I have stuff like power controllers, horn, indicators and brake sensors. I assume these need to run off of ac therefore I am asking the question as to where I should insert the rectifier etc . By doing a split system I am also going to have to isolate all lights and light switches as I still want to use them.I will have an isolating switch for the lights so that I can start the bike and then flick lights on after cap is charged. Is there any way to do this whole setup so that it can be reversed, if needed , quite easily? I originally leant towards the non floating ground setup for this reason. All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mark Last edited by wence; 12-19-2009 at 03:55 PM. Reason: bad spelling |
