Righto, soaked in WD40 for a day or so, then ran over it with a brass wire brush disc which runs on the cordless drill. Then used a automotive metal polish................and it came up great.

Wish I had done a before and after pic now.

Buy the stainless gas gas pipe, it fits all years with a different mount, and is dirt cheap!

stainless gasgas pipe?? never heard of it, but certainly would like to buy one. Anyone have a part # by chance? my local dealer for sure has never heard of it, and sure as hell would have a million excuses as to why they could not get me one. They probably have not even heard that the brand almost went tits up recently!

Just a thought I had using a cold galvanized spray might be of benefit. The color should be a fairly close match and stop the rust, not sure how heat resistant that they are though. Might suffice for the spots that seem to show up near the header.
