also, what ratio should I be running in my 250? I ran 40:1 like I did on my ktm, but it seems to have a little splooge coming down the silencer. I am going to repack it asap, but I was just wondering what they recommend from the factory.

The factory suggests full synthetic at 50:1. Oils with a lower flash point seem to result in less spooge. I use Motul 710 and get minimal spooge.
