Ironman GNCC race - advice

16.5 hour drive according to Google maps! That's a long haul.
We'll really look like Texas yahoos - we're bringing all of our bikes in a
horse trailer and staying in a hotel. ;-)

The GNCC is kind of a bucket list thing - gotta knock that one out.

I race in my local HS series and we have a race the weekend prior. Race fitness should be good.

That's a long ass drive! But the experience alone will be worth the trip. Be sure to look me up when you get up here.

I was out there a month ago for the 16' KTM dealer meeting. It was so rutted in the woods by midday, I couldn't imagine during a race. So many roots, not so many rocks though.

Yes it is getting beat up pretty bad. But the experience alone is worth the drive if you ask me.
