That's nuts - how is that even possible? There couldn't have been much (any?) air getting to the motor.
I think I would have kept riding until I found a bridge, or just turned tail...LOL. |

The carb has to feed into the sidecar ? There is no way other than that .

You are correct, the sidecar functions as a dry box. Notice they have the sidecar top covered to keep the water out.
