Tightened my spokes today.
One was just spinning and wouldn't tighten, had to hold the spoke in vice grips in order to turn the nipple.

Well I haven't done much to my bike. Tons of other projects and I have just been riding my sons bike.

But I did get my powervalve back together this weekend. It was really nasty and caboned up. Took over an hour to get all.cleaned up etc. . I'll try to get the barrel back on etc. No huge rush

More testing than tuning though as I can't be bothered working on bikes in the forest unless it's necessary Fuckers running that fat that I'll probably have to change some plugs though.

I did change the needle to an NECW, if that isn't enough to cure the fatness I'll drop the main to 172.5..........not in the forest though
Don't confuse your carburetor circuits.
Most of what riders term as "rich or fat" characteristics are a result of the jet needle's part of the circuit.
The jet needle controls the transition from low throttle setting to mid-range.
The main jet doesn't have much effect until you are at 3/8 throttle turn, and doesn't come into it's real area of control until 1/2 throttle.
If you are still "fat" with the NECW, then I would suggest raising the needle clip one groove to see the effect.

Thanks for the the reply Jim I have since posted in another thread with results from my ride on Monday, If you'd care to take a look I'd be interested in your feedback

Don't get me started on carb circuits, I've been dicking around with jetting, emulsions, power valves, iab's, mab's, ifr's and a truck load of other crap with a 1050 Dominator carb on my 800hp car running E85 for the last 12+months........I may have it nearly sorted though, but it has worn me down

The needle position won't matter when you are at Wide Open Throttle. That's strictly main jet territory; well, that and air flow through the filter.

Good luck and let us know how it goes with the smaller main jet.

I spent a couple of days looking at all the different types of Hand guards, it all got too confusing so I bought a $35 pair off Scambay, they actually fitted up pretty good

Bought a litre of Penrite for the gearbox, I run the 10w-40 in my road bike and I like it.

Where at please brother?

Pulled MY AXP skid plate and moved one of the mounts and drilled a 19mm hole to gain access to the drain plug. Life's too short to be removing the bashplate everytime I change oil It also doubles as an awesome drain hole

Yeah, I'm rougher than hessian undies

I have just tried this as well. It's Australian made but seems to work!
Gasser clutches can be sensitive to different oils but no problems so far.
