ugh.. 2017 ec300 coolant in the oil and oil in the crankcase..
I recently bought this bike with a little over 50 hours on it and it runs great but somehow coolant is getting into the gearbox and a small amount of transmission oil found it's way into the crankcase.. should I pull the engine and split the cases? Can I reseal the cases without tearing everything apart? Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

It may be transmission oil in the crankcase but it is probably residual two stroke oil. You might just have a leaking water pump seal or right hand inner crank gasket leak. Check there first.

Water pump seals can be changed without pulling the engine. |
