Question Michelin sizing,,,, Help!

All I wanted was the same tires my bike came with (120/90/18 rear, 90/90/21 front) So sometime between 2000 and now they changed the way they describe them?
I bought those sizes and what showed up was much smaller for the rear, and a little smaller for the front (width-wise for both). So If I want what my bike originally came with (M-12's), what size do you order at this point? The new rear tire which has 120/90 molded on it even has a yellow tag bonded to it that says 100/100 ???
Thanks,
Jeff

Try this for info.

Michelin's yellow label on the tire is the metric number. I am running the Maxxis SI's and if my memory serves me correctly, I am now running a 110/80/18 this would be equal to the Michelins 130/80/18 (yellow tag) and the Maxxis front is a 80/100/21.

I like having the smaller tire on the back because I am able to bring the rear around quickly.

Hope this helps!
