There are no external vent hoses on this carb-no dirt or water issues. There is a die cast version coming out in the fall that will be way cheaper. I have given the engineering dept at APT tons of "real world" feedback on this carb. A much better production version will be available on the billet version. |

Do you know how this version will differ from your current carb or the die cast carb?

I have ridden twice with the carb. The performance increase is noticeable. The drive out of the corners and out of whoops is amazing. There are no hiccups of any kind. Fuel mileage did increase. Bike starts with one kick. siaknijustin. The die cast carb will be smaller and lighter. The billet carb is huge and heavy. It is actually 3/4" longer than the Keihin. |

I might go for it for a lot less $$ and a good fit. Something like a steering damper or Flexbars that you can take from bike to bike. Girard, how much trouble was fitting it being it is so long?
This is going to be devistating to Jakobi. |

I'm all for it! It was the search for perfection that was my motivation. The only devistation this might cause is to the wallet if you all keep saying how well it works! Get one Glenn!

It will have to be A LOT cheaper, like less than half.
I would imagine the mixture is linear with respect to throttle opening, so no way to play to change power delivery like now with different tapers. |

i googled it and all the info is vague I figured it was a gimmick esp. after seeing the bikes theyre selling.Until I saw a post from gasgasman, how did you find out about it? i'd like more details on how it functions can you point me to any articles ,tests etc. just curious, not buying anything for a while

If there are patents pending I wouldn't be surprised with vague info. What is kind of goofy to me is their mission statement. Sounds like more of a green company than a performance part mfg. Looking at a broader spectrum of market possibilities I guess, but at $800 a pop you won't find these on Asian scooters running around the third world.
