I thought I had no top end in the lower gears too.. Was the bike bouncing off the limit around 9500rpm. Just got there so much quicker than the WR250F I had that used to rev to 13,000 that it felt like it wasn't.. Don't know if that makes much sense

Makes perfect sense but you should've noticed a stronger pull on the way to the limiter than the 250F. You do have to change gear more on a 2 stroke even a 300.

You only notice the pull if you're getting traction. My first few rides were quite wet, and the back end was lighting up alot too oops!
All part of the learning curve from one bike to the next! |

My settings.....so far
2010 300
Pilot 40 N3CH 3rd from the top (also tried 2nd) Main 180 4-6000' 50'F Just installed a N3CH after removing the stock N1EF........ The N3CH really brought the bike to life! I initially installed it at the 2nd notch down from the top.......it ran great! However I was a little concerned that it was running a bit lean? I have always ran my 2T's rich and to make it more difficult I am rusty at jetting 2T's as I have been on 4T's for the past three years. When I rode the bike with the clip in the #2 spot it ran great. However there was a lot less smoke than I am used to, and after 30 miles there was only one small drip of spooge coming out of the silencer. Did a throttle chop from mid-throttle/revs and it was slightly lighter then a Hershey bar.......does this sound like it was okay? Again I have always ran my bikes rich so I am a bit-nervous trying to find the sweet-spot. Decided to move the clip to the 3rd spot and obviously it ran richer, lot more smoke and spooge and slightly decreased performance. I really liked the way the bike ran with the clip in the #2 position, however I am a little nervous about going too lean. Light brown on the plug is okay right? I would imagine if it was overly lean I would run a lot hotter as well. I rarely have the wide-open and mostly bog-around in 2nd gear single track. Loving my new GG Thanks J |

Jakobi, what altitudes are you riding at? |

At your altitude I would go to a 175 main and a 38 pilot. You would not be too lean.
I am running n3ch 3rd clip 40 pilot 178 main I am near sea level hot and humid. At your alt. you should be a good bit leaner, I would want no spooge just a light ring at the silencer. |

38 Pilot, N3CH#2, 175Main
100 - 1000M, 20 - 35C, 40-90% humidity Tan coloured plug. No spooge. Slight ring at end of exhaust. |

Just for comparison sake, I ran the N3CH and a BGL that I have and they are very similar. The only real difference is the diameter. If I run an N3CF, then they really line up together on the JD chart.

What is the difference between n3ch and n3eh?
My bike was running fine but now having issues. First thought the choke was sticking open. And today I filled the bike up, kitted up turned the gas on and had fuel pouring out of two of the overflow pipes. Is this why I can only get 65km on a tank?
