Meta, that Scorpa is a very interesting bike. It should sell like hot cakes but it doesn't. Not in the same league as the Gasser/Beta/Sherco's it is nonetheless a good bike for a clubman. I suspect the reason it hasn't sold well is because the Gasser/Beta/Shercos all look like the bigger bikes and, well face it, we all want to look good don't we?

Skid, I had a good laugh when I read your observations of the 280 gasser.

I was scared to death on my first trials bike ride.
Well I was 9 years old and never ridden a motorcycle before.

My dad bought me a 1974 Yamaha TY 80 trials bike and changed my life forever.

Trials got me started riding, so trials bikes will always be special to me.
I currently don't have a trials bike, but do see my garage having one in the future.

I miss my trials bike now that it's gone. My 1997 GasGas JXT270 was a good starter trials bike for me. I see another in my future. Maybe I will pick up a minder's bike at the next big Donner Trial.

Next world rounds in Chattanooga Mike, at TTC. Dunno when they're going back to Donner.

Well, I should have enough time to gather the funds then!

Where are you Mike? Forgive me, my memories fading. What happened to STeVe? He was another Gasser devotee as was Levy who I see is still active over at RMD. Might be worth putting the word out to Jim Cook who can do a bit of sniffing around for you if you want one NOW.

I'm thinking of one as well. I'd like another EC but the reality is I could get a lot more effective riding in on a trials bike around the house. Plus, I have some really good potential trials terrain. There is a group of GasGas trials riders in town as well, I run into them playing in the boulders occasionally.

So a quick scan of our forum topics reveal that we don't have an entry for "Trials". So where do trials riders talk? And where can I go to lurk (and educate myself)?

Oops, I just found the category under "Other", but it's pretty quiet for trials-related topics (as it contains mostly Quad topics).

I'm in Northern California. (Milpitas, CA) STeVe and Levy? I have no idea what happened to them.

The first time I rode a trials bike was back in 1977 on a Honda TL125. Man was that bike bike down on power. It was fun though. I got to see a world trials round in '92 back in Manitoba, it was awesome! I'll never forget it. The last time I was on one was last year at GG Pacific on a TX200 but the Raga editions sure looked purty!
