I can see how it would be an advantage in those situations. For me running lower pressures I generally find the front end feels mooshy and wanders (similar feeling to riding with a flat) before I experience any issues with pinch flatting and turning the tyre on the rim though. That and the tyre starts to throw knobs. When I change tyres you can usually see some wear internally on the side wall from the flex too.

I am a Nuetech sponsored rider and could tell you all day long how awesome the system works. I am also amazed at how awesome Jeff Douglas at Nuetech is. He goes way over and above to make sure you are happy with his product.
I recommend anyone who is even interested in the TuBliss system to call him and let him tell you about it. |

I've been running them since 2010. Amazing product. The best money you can spend on a bike outside of new tires and hand guards. The only thing that holds me back is you have to actually put air in them, twice per end. Mousse inserts are faster to change, but they don't last as long, and have a dead feel without the traction advantage.

Do they get that dead heavy flat feeling at such low pressures? Are you statisically increasing the odds of rim damage too? Dead givin the amount of additional traction you'd be finidng with 4psi on the back! Guess it comes down to the gnarlyness factor of your riding too.

Well good god what an ordeal getting these friggin things. I have a new set of rims coming so I don't have to take the trelleborgs off and need rubber for a race in a week so I had to go with tubes. Maybe first tire change ill buy a set. Tubliss does not seem to be very popular around here from what the shops are telling me.

Easy here, every corner Jap bike store has them, plus the web stores.
Jake, You still have to make good decisions! If its fast, run higher pressures. It's the lower range of pressure that is extended. If traction is good enough that I can make speed, I'll run them harder, but they feel better to me regardless of pressure. Same logic I apply to the trials tire / knobby choice.
