Default Rear wheel adjustment 2014 300

I changed my rear sprocket from a 48t to a 50t. From the showroom my rear tire was rubbing on the mud flap. I added 2 links in order to compensate for the larger sprocket and additional gap to clear the mud flap. The adjuster block dot is now on the last line on the swing arm to clear the flap. Is it normal to have to adjust the rear wheel this far back to clear the mud flap? Would I have to reset sag? Any downside to having the wheel this far back handling/suspension wise?

Check sag as it may have changed a mm or two with the new leverage.
On my '14 the tyre also rubbed the mudflap. I still run the stock 48 tooth sprocket and the adjustment dots are roughly second from the back
Seems normal.
A pro rider could probably tell the difference between the rear wheel being at the forward adjustment marks and one inch back at the rear marks but hacks like me can't. In theory slightly slower turning and better straight line stability but in reality I doubt it does much at all.
