I vote 450. Its the only gasser Ive ever ridden but of all the other brands I've tried, Ive never found a better woods/street weapon. Would really love to try a 300 for an hour or two though

If it's possible, come on down to north Arkansas next year for the Wudi Winter Fun Ride the first weekend of next April and join us. You can sample a 300 for sure. (mine) Here is the url for last year's Wudi ride. (Wudi 13): http://members.cox.net/jejb3/Wudi13/wudi13.html If you contact jeb by his email (shown on the page) and ask him to add you to the mailing list. That way, he will send you an email when plans are "firmed up" for Wudi14. Good Riding! Jim

200!('13) super light/agile feel encourages u to ride places u just wouldn't try otherwise.sharp and precise with enough animal to still make u grin.sure u have to work a little more clutch evry now and then(hydr nice and light) but only adds to the enjoyment imo.only had th 1 gasser tho but coming from flat, lazy 4t this thing feels alive under u(in a good way) and involves u,rewarding u when u ride well and reminding u when u get sloppy.typical terrain here med/steep hills, with dirty little gullies and some tight single track mtb trails(almost all 1st gr).I always come back with a big grin, sorry to put it back in th shed.wouldnt kick a 300 outta bed tho either

EC300, I use it 99% for woods riding. Really versatile engine, sharp handling, lowish seat height, have had the suspension done , basically it is a really good all rounder. Initially I bought it because it was cheap ( relative to other brands ), no regrets here. I came off a KTM300 of the same year - the GG is twice the bike IMO.
The biggest improvements to the bike have been jetting, suspension upgrade and fitting some decent rubber!!! If I want to scare the shiat out of myself or stretch the arms a tad at speed then my '14 YZ450f is the weapon of choice. FYI - I have ridden a huge variety of Dirt Bikes 4st / 2st, all capacities for comparison, MX and Enduro. |

Precisely my thoughts on the 200 as well. Like all bikes it has its limitations and areas where it isn't as effective as others, but there isn't a bike out there that is more fun or more rewarding. |

I only have practical trail experience on the 250 & 300(5 different years). I'd love to spend a day on a 200... Would like to ride a 4t model as well.

11' 300?
I rode an 11 250 that was awesome and worked really well.. I can only imagine the 300 would be even better. That would be my pick. I have an 01 300 that I bought used and a bit ratty but it still worked great.. It's a little small for me as I'm 6'1" with extra long monkey arms. The 11' 250 I rode had a topclamp in a forward position and that was great. My 300 has wp forks and a topclamp with the bars too far rearward for me. My Beta 300 got ripped off so I'll be going back to my gasgas 300 for the 2 stroke fix.. and my 82' husky 430 for some vibration fix.. and my Beta 525 for 4 stroke and estart. ... but I'd pick the 2011 Gasgas 300ec as a best gasgas.. I'm wondering how the new one is though.
