I was getting some bad vibration so I did this. There was more movement than I expected. I'd just done the crank a couple of rides before. The left crank bearing will have some slop.

. . . and the lower engine bolts had undone. Buggers to get to with water pipe in way. Oh look. Vibration sorted. Mental note to recheck them. And loctite.

Thought I'd post in here what it was in the end. So basically bought the bike second hand. And someone has had the swingarm off in the past. Basically the nut on the main pivot on the swingarm was bottomed out on the thread of the bolt. Put a washer behind it that I borrowed from work and she's all good
