How far time wise do you go before it acts up?? I have had a bad coil and it would run perfect for about 10 to 20 minutes then start misfiring and or quit. Let it cool down and you were good to do again.

Unscrew the tank cap when it happens. There is a small chance you have a plugged cap vent. Carefully go over each wire and it's connections (clean them if needed). Broken wires around the headstock are common (your handlebars go back and forth a lot).
Check coil connections including the high tension lead. Check every ground, particularily where the coil bolts to the frame. Pull the stator cover and make sure the stator is not corroded. If the headlight and tail light bulbs are burned out you may have a bad voltage regulator (this only affects the lights, not the ignition).
